Who is Sam McNamara?
Sam is a technically minded, solution focussed empath who appreciates individuality and isn’t shy about openly conversing about delicate and sensitive matters with a goal in mind of openness and resolution. Emerging from his previous experiences of teaching within SEN Schools and going on to supporting and empowering adults with mental illness and learning difficulties, Sam is a fresh addition to the team at Diversify. Sam is passionate about inclusion, accessibility and equality and draws from his own personal values to advocate positivity, consideration and mindfulness in both his personal and professional life.
Sam has a deep understanding of mental health issues, communicatory disabilities, conflict resolution, respect and restorative approaches. He has an enthusiastic and exciting approach when working with children and can capture the attention of groups with passionate and encouraging delivery. He has supported individuals and groups to gain a clearer understanding of human rights, impacts and repercussions of segregation, the long term effects of neglect and abuse and strives to offer all a discursive understanding through conversation, active listening and discussion in order to broaden the knowledge of communities and service providers.
Through workshop delivery, Sam hopes to form positive mutualistic relationships with peers in order to promote the values of Diversify, tackle discriminatory and neglectful practices and build foundations where a more accessible and equal society is within reach for all.
